Established in 1931 by Edwin Viberg to produce hardwearing boots for the logging and work industries. The business is still family owned and dedicated to maintaining the overriding principle of top quality, hand crafted footwear.
Every pair takes 218 steps to make and is still most likely made by a member of the Viberg family. The Service Boot is an updated interpretation of Viberg’s original work boot, designed by founder Edwin Viberg in 1931. A similar pattern was used by multiple nations as a standard issue military boot during WWII.
The unique leather for this boot comes from wild Antelope in South Africa which has been tanned by the iconic British Tannery, C.F. Stead. A special tannage ensures that the leather is strong yet soft and comfortable to wear. The leather is finally treated with wax which provides an extra layer of protection and also brings the leathers individual grain and texture to life.
