The Tender Type 433 Short Sleeve Wallaby Shirt takes some of the best parts of William Krolls work and merges them in to one garment. Here you’ll see the body panels of the Butterfly shirt, the pockets of the Wallaby Shirt and the inverted raglan sleeve of the Zoetrope Coat. Whether worn as an over-shirt or jacket, this piece is the ideal summer companion.
This piece has been made from a light weight cotton twill made to be used for Mackintosh raincoats. The rich blue you see on this shirt is taken from Prussian Blue, a pigment dervied from iron salt and discovered in around 1704 in Berlin, by the chemist Johann Jacob Diesbach. Whilst woad and indigo dyes which were being used at the time were susceptible to fading in natural light, Prussian Blue proved a reliable alternative, known for its intense, slightly red caste blue.
Model is 5'11" and wears size 2/S.
